Walgreens Monthly Coupons 101

Note: I'm starting a new series on Walgreens shopping. I hope you will find these posts informative. If you have questions, leave me a comment. I'll reply at my earliest convenience.Walgreens Monthly Coupons 101

The Walgreens Monthly Coupon books can be found inside your local Walgreen store next to the weekly store ads. If you cannot locate a book in that area, ask a Walgreens employee for one.
---------------------

1) The books are updated every month, and the coupons are only good for 30 days.

2) The coupons are considered Walgreens Store coupons, and cannot be used at any other retailer.

3) Walgreens allows you to "stack" a Walgreens Store coupon with a Manufacturer coupon on the same item. See below.

For example: Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice are on sale 2 for $5.00
*You printed out a manufacturer coupon for $2 off 2 bottles.
*You also found a Walgreen's Store Coupon for $1.00 off 2 bottles.
Buy 2 Welch's Sparking Grape Juice @ $2.50 each
Subtotal: $5.00
- $2/2 Manufacturer Printable Coupon
-$1/2 Walgreens Store Coupon
Final Cost: $1.00 per bottle when you buy 2!
--------------

4) Walgreens does not allow more coupons than items in a transaction. We had an equal number of coupons and items in our above transaction. However; Walgreens Store Coupons do not count towards your total number of coupons. That being said, in our above transaction, the register thinks we only used one coupon ($2/2 Welch's printable.)

5) Let's say we bought 4 bottles of Welch's. Do you need to cut out another $1/2 coupon from the December book? No, you do not need to provide another coupon. The register will automatically take off another $1 for every 2 bottles you purchase.

6) Always give your manufacturer coupons first, and then your Walgreens Store Coupons.
