Walgreens 4/2 Scenario

This is a very basic way of "Rolling Register Rewards." You have to alternate your RRs because of the way Walgreens registers are set up. If you try buying the Colgate Toothbrushes & pay with your Colgate RR - no RR will print. It's because they are from the same manufacturer. Now, you can alternate by purchasing Colgate Toothbrushes, and paying with the Nescafe RR because they are made by different companies.

Since it's Saturday this deal will only be good through the end of the day today. Nescafe deal is not in ad, but is valid thru 4/17. You will need to visit a couple of Walgreens locations to be sure they have enough Nescafe for the deals listed below.

*If you don't drink Nescafe consider donating to local charity or shelter.

Trans #1
Buy 4 Nescafe Tasters Choice 7pk @ $1.00 each
Pay: $4.00
*Get $4 in Register Rewards from Nescafe

Trans #2
Buy 2 Colgate 360 Clean Toothbrushes @ $3.00 each= $6.00
Buy 1 Russell Stover Egg @ .29
Subtotal: $6.29
- (2) $1/1 from 3/27 SS
- $4 RR from Nescafe
Pay: .29
**Get $4 RR from Colgate

Trans #3
Buy 4 Nescafe Tasters Choice 7pk @ $1.00 each
Buy 1 Russell Stover Egg @ 0.29
Subtotal $4.29
-$4 RR from Colgate
Pay: .29
*Get $4 in Register Rewards from Nescafe

Trans #4
Buy 2 Colgate 360 Clean Toothbrushes @ $3.00 each= $6.00
Buy 1 Russell Stover Egg @ .29
Subtotal: $6.29
- (2) $1/1 from 3/27 SS
- $4 RR from Nescafe

My Walgreens Run 4/2

Sorry Guys! No more Luster coupons available!

Here's the scenario I did today. I actually did 2 transactions yesterday, and 2 today...but you could still do all 4 today if you have the time. This is a very basic way of "Rolling Register Rewards." You have to alternate your RRs because of the way Walgreens registers are set up. If you try buying the Colgate Toothbrushes & pay with your Colgate RR - no RR will print. It's because they are from the same manufacturer. Now, you can alternate by purchasing Colgate Toothbrushes, and paying with the Luster RR because they are made by different companies.

Since it's Saturday this deal will only be good through the end of the day today.

Trans #1
Buy 1 Luster Whitening Toothpaste @ $5.99
-$1.50/1 from HERE
Pay: $4.49
*Get $4 in Register Rewards from Luster

Trans #2
Buy 2 Colgate 360 Clean Toothbrushes @ $3.00 each= $6.00
Buy 1 Russell Stover Egg @ .29
Subtotal: $6.29
- (2) $1/1 from 3/27 SS
- $4 RR from Luster
Pay: .29
**Get $4 RR from Colgate

Trans #3
Buy 1 Luster Whitening Toothpaste @ $5.99
-$1.50/1 from HERE
- $4 Colgate RR
Pay: .49
*Get $4 in Register Rewards from Luster

Trans #4
Buy 2 Colgate 360 Clean Toothbrushes @ $3.00 each= $6.00
Buy 1 Russell Stover Egg @ .29
Subtoatl: $6.29
- (2) $1/1 from 3/27 SS
- $4 Luster RR
Pay: .29
**Get $4 RR from Colgate

Out of Pocket Subtotal: $5.56
- $4 Colgate RR from Trans #4
Final Cost: $1.56

**Make sure when you print the first Luster coupon, and wait for it to finish printing. Then push your back button, and it will allow you to print 1 more.

This is an easy way to build up your toothbrush stash without spending a lot of money.

My Walgreens Run 3/31

Note: This run is part of the Walgreens Friends & Family event going on today, 3/31 only. You could still do the run on Friday or even Saturday, but you would omit the 15% discount from your math. P.S. Walgreens Store Coupons do not count towards your number of coupons used in a transaction. If you look at my original transaction, I have 8 items, but use 9 coupons. Again, the Walgreens store coupon does not count towards your total # of coupons. Be sure to give that 15% off coupon to the cashier first.

Let me know if you have questions.

*A Register Reward prints out at the register after you purchase the participating item in the ad. They are like cash, and you can use them on just about anything on your next trip to the store. There are some exceptions like: dairy, prescriptions, gift cards, postage etc. Check your RR for more exclusions. I use mine to buy toilet paper. I hate paying for toilet paper.

Guest Post: Spunky Diva

At the Spunky Diva, www.SpunkyDiva.com, you can find a variety of fun, unique Stay-Put Kitchen Towels. With no buttons to lose or yarn to pull in the wash, they are an update on the very useful hanging towels of the past. By attaching these towels to your oven handle, refrigerator door, dishwasher handle or even the towel bar in your bathroom, you can be assured that your hand towel will be where you need it when you need. All fabrics used in my shop are prewashed and dried so that you don't have to worry about shrinkage of the item in the future. I use a variety of cotton novelty prints, and have many more creations that I have listed on Etsy. Being able to see my items on Esty and at craft fairs gives me a creative outlet for the items I create. I find a lot of pleasure in creating something so unique but so very useful at the same time. Getting to play with the different fabrics is just icing on the cake. I share family stories, new fabric purchase, and many how-to posts on my blog at www.TheSpunkyDiva.com.
