Attention: Facebook Hop Linky Problems

If you are trying to link up to the Facebook hop, and you're having problems...leave a comment here. I'm heading to a hockey game right now, but I'll be back in a couple of hours to troubleshoot.

Also, If you have a Facebook button on your page, hover your mouse over the button, right-click, and click "copy link location." And then come back and paste that into the URL slot on the linky tool.

New Schedule for the New Year!

Since it's a new year, I thought I'd mix things up a little bit on Frugal Invitation. Here are some ideas that I have decided to try out in the coming weeks. If you have something to add to the mix, please leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear your ideas!

• Monday: Monday Meals

• Tuesday: Guest Post Tuesday

• Wednesday: Welcome Wednesday Blog Hop

• Thursday: Thrifty Tips

• Friday: Finance Friday

Mondays will feature one recipe I'm making during the week. Tuesdays will feature blogs I fancy out there. Wednesdays will give other bloggers a chance to link up and gain new followers. Thursdays will feature thrifty tips. Fridays will feature ways to save money.

What Do Your New Years Goals Look Like?

Guess what? It's that time of year again. You know...where we all decide we're going to make a change for the new year. I've been working on my list, and I thought I would share a couple of my resolutions (or goals as I like to call them) with you.

1) Take more pictures. Way more. Capture the moments.

2) Get healthy. I owe it to myself to exercise, and eat right.

3) Live in the moment.

4) Stop worrying. It doesn't do any good. Besides, the Big Guy upstairs has a fantastic plan for me!

Those are a few on my list, but I have many others. I heard a quote the other day that struck a chord with me. "Every breath is a second chance." We are given so many 2nd chances, and we need to live life to the fullest. Easier said, then done. I notice many times that I think about what isn't going that great in my life versus all the things I can be thankful for like a roof over my head, and being surrounded by so many wonderful people And, as always - it could be worse.

So, tell me.

Christmas Hiatus!

Merry Christmas!

I'm happy to say I have 99% of my gift wrapping complete! No staying up all night to wrap this time! I am heading over to my mom for Christmas Eve to help make Christmas Cookies with my little cousin Josh, and to get my Christmas movie fix. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas Weekend. I am looking forward to the new year ahead.

Soak up all the time spent with your family and friends this year, and make the most of every moment.

How Far Can I Stretch $20 to Walgreens?

Earlier in the week, I received a $20 Gift Card to Walgreens from a friend of mine. It sounded like her fiance wanted her to spend more on it, but she ended up telling him that I could probably stretch the $20 Gift Card to buy $40 worth of products because of my coupon usage. So in the end it was probably really worth $40 to me.

She's exactly right!

So my question to you is:
Should we see just how far I can stretch the $20 Gift Card this week?

We Reached 300 Followers!

Guess What?????

Frugal Invitation has reached 300 followers on Google Friend Connect! This is quite an accomplishment! I won't sugar coat it. Blogging takes a lot of work. And you all have been so patient with me while I take the time to grow and improve Frugal Invitation. I give many thanks to each and everyone of you.

Not only have I had the opportunity to discover new blogs, but I have been able to connect many of you on different levels. I have the best readers out there! Thanks again for your continued support. See below for a few accomplishments I feel should be noted!

Here are a few of Frugal Invitation's Accomplisments:

2) We turned 6 month's old on 11/9/10.
3) We grew from 100 Google Friend Followers to 305 since October.
